Discovery Education Summer Adventures

Summer vacation is here and we know students can’t wait to jump in the pool, take a trip, or spend quality time with family and friends closer to home. But what if students could also travel the world and continue learning all summer long?

With the Worldwide Summer Adventure – a free program from Discovery Education – your child can virtually visit museums, tour monuments, meet inventors, explore national parks, swim with sharks, and do much more right from your home, the library, or anywhere there is access to the internet. To start exploring, go to:

Each week Discovery Education will add new experiences and activities.

To make the most of the adventure, students will need their DiscoveryEducation.com username and password.

(Please email Mrs. Stasny at [email protected] if your student has trouble logging in.)

Students can also choose their own summer adventure with Discovery Education. With tens of thousands of videos, games, images, songs, and more, the Discovery Education online media library is a safe destination for exploration and learning all summer and school-year long.

We can’t wait to hear what the answer will be in the fall when we ask: What did you do this summer? Fill out the “official” passport and turn it into your science teacher in August for a chance to win an extra special Science Prize (and earn some extra credit, too.)
